Petr Cech joins ice hockey side Guildford Phoenix

Former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has embarked after signing for Guildford Phoenix.
The 37-year-old, whos now technical and functionality advisor at Chelsea, retired at the end of last year from football.
Cech trained with the Czech Republic international, the Guildford Flames this season and a different ice hockey has since joined the Phoenix.
I am delighted to have the chance to play with the Phoenix to find fit encounter, Cech said in a statement on the clubs website.
I hope I will help this young group to achieve their goals for the entire year and try to win as many matches as you can when I have the chance to playwith.
After 20 years of professional football this will be a terrific adventure for me to play the game I loved to play and watch as a child.
Phoenix head coach Andy Hemmings stated:The signing of Petr is enormous for the Phoenix. Hes a great man who trains hard and I cant wait to see him make his introduction.
Club head coach Milos Melicherik included:We are very excited to have Petr connect the Phoenix team and were looking forward to seeing him in action .
Hes improved a lot since I first saw him about the ice hockey and I am eager to see him perform.
